There are two books that he is most recognized for and those are "War and Peace" and "Anna Karenina." In his life time he rejected many components of traditional religions and thought that Jesus was only a wise man. Later he became a pacifist which later led him to despise the government. He used his books to make government rule look bad and encouraged living on their own. He wanted everyone to get their own food and live like a true free man rather than government ruling over the people. He died on November 7, 1910 in Astapovo, Ryazan province, Russian Empire.
